When The Lights Go Down In The City

When The Lights Go Down

This is my fourth version of Galveston's Pleasure Pier.  It's the first one I've painted of it at dusk and I love it.  The Pier is always so special, but the reflections on the wet sand of the beach makes it even more so.

Lots of impasto work with the paintbrush and palette knife give the waves great texture.  The canvas is 1 1/2" deep so I've carried the painting on to the sides in the event the collector who chooses this piece decides not to add a frame.

I have varnished and wired it so it is ready to hang.

Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me with any comments or questions.

I love hearing from you.

Best,

Jo
