Ready To Rope

  I've been a fan of rodeos since childhood.  It's rodeo time in Texas right now with the Ft. Worth and San Antonio rodeos just done and the Houston Rodeo underway.  I've always loved the big guys roping strong hard running steers, getting them down and tying them up with "three loops and a hooey".  

Lots of new in this piece for me.   I succumbed to my need to detail in a painting with the folds in the shirt and creases in the jeans but went looser in the rest of the painting.  I am very happy with how it turned out and I hope you like it as well.
