Black and White

I am not really sure what prompted the beginning of this series other than my love of black and white.  It turned out to be hugely successful and generated many commissions.  

There seems to be intrigue in the light emanating from beyond the horizon and peeking around the base of the trees, casting graphic shadows.

Even though the background is ivory black, you can see from the reflection of the light on the right side of the photo that there is still much movement and texture in the brushwork.
